HOW TO MANAGE AND HANDLE PROBLEM EMPLOYEES THROUGH
COUNSELING SKILL

 

INTRODUCTION

The supervisor and line leader involved in counseling when two types of situation occur. One is when employees come to him with personal problems ; and the other is when performance drops. Employees with the personal problem may have his performance affected to the point where productivity or quality of works drops. Problem employees create financial problems because such people are expensive to have on payroll. They usually cause problem such absenteeism, difficult to supervise and have tendency to upset the morale of the work group.

A supervisor and line leader cannot avoid acting as a counselor . When a supervisor helps an employee solve a job - related problem , the supervisor or line leader is acing as a counselor . When an employee comes forward with a personal problem that is affecting job performance , the supervisor or line leader must be prepared.

This training program is designed specially for supervisors, line leader and other employee who has been given responsibility of handling problem employees but who may or may not have counseling experience.
